Attics are considered part of the building shell. This lesson takes you through the steps to enter information about the building’s unfinished attic. If the attic is finished, skip this step and move directly to the Finished Attics tab.
When entering this data, you will want to know the following information about your structure:
Attic type
Joist spacing
Area (in square feet)
Insulation type and depth
Type, R-value and/or depth of any added insulation
Make sure to have the information from the example site-built home printed and available for your reference with this lesson.
